HOW I SEE IT

Early morning doodling and thinking about my life thus far — where I’ve come from, what I’m doing, and where I’d like to go. As you can probably tell, I have quite a bit of love for calligraphy and penmanship. I have been known to just sit and just write letters — trying to perfect new cursive styles in forming my letters (as in the alphabet) is just what I do. See, as a youth, I’ve always had the thought that one day I’ll have this chance encounter with The O aka Oprah Winfrey and she’ll spazz out to see me (just as I would to see her). In both our spazzing out moments, we’ll exchange autographs for our respective journals — keep sakes if you will. Yes. I’ve always had a very active imagination. 😉
Imagination aside, I’ve always had this particular dream of working in a creative field, be it fashion, beauty, or design. Simply being in a creative environment thrills the heck out of me. So on this particular morning, around 2 or so, I took my pen to paper and did just wrote what I felt. On the left you’ll glimpse a few of the things that was on my mind at the time. Of course, New York is always there, somewhere you’ll also see the words ‘Gigi’ and ‘Nini’, ‘BK’, Tough Gyal, my husband’s and daughter’s names, and heck, I even have a rat hiding out in the piece (it’s a NY subway thing). At the end of the day, this is what I envision and I’ve got to work like my life depended on it.
This is how I see it. This is what it is. This is what it’s going to be. GIGI+NINI by Giselle Thomas

  1. Hey Meisha Meish ;)Big dreams I tell ya! But now, I've got to put the actions to it. Btw, I'm Aries (on the cusp of Pisces — so I have a combination of traits) 😉

  2. @Marley Simone. Thanks doll. I love to write, I'll pick it any day over an email (when I want something that's more personal). For me it's another form of expression. Trust me, when I don't feel it, it's so shows in my writing — not too nice. 😉
